Starting from July 12, the Hangzhou Metro has officially opened 52 spots at various metro stations for the public to take temporary shelter in. These cooling spots are strategically placed in station concourses, away from passenger traffic route, and are equipped with chairs for passengers in need of a rest from the heat. Most visitors to these spots are local residents. Outdoor workers such as food delivery personnel, couriers, and sanitation workers also take breaks there during the hottest parts of the day.
All Metro stations in Hangzhou are stocked with heat relief supplies such as Huoxiang Zhengqi liquid, Ren Dan pills, and essential balm, which passengersin need can request from the staff.
