The grand opening ceremony for the Shenzhong Link will take place on the morning of June 30, as announced at a press conference today. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan mega project will officially start trial operations at 3 p.m. on the same day.

When fully opened, the Shenzhong Link will cut travel time between Shenzhen and Zhongshan from two hours to just half an hour.
The toll for the entire route is set at 66 yuan (US$9) for cars with no more than nine seats.
Construction of this cross-sea complex began in December 2016 and includes a submerged tunnel, artificial islands and bridges, including a suspension bridge with a main span of 1,666 meters that has broken several world records.
