From Nov 20, Foreigners Can Submit Entry Card Online to China

Nov 03, 2025

These include the official website of the National Immigration Administration, government service platforms, the "Immigration Bureau 12367" app, WeChat (Alipay) mini-programs, and by scanning the entry card QR code through mobile devices.

For foreigners who are unable to fill out the entry information online, they can use their mobile phones to scan a QR code or utilize on-site smart devices to report their entry information upon arrival at Chinese ports of entry and exit. Alternatively, they may complete a paper entry card for foreigners.

However, the following seven categories of foreigners are exempt from this requirement:

1.Holders of the People’s Republic of China Foreign Permanent Residence ID card.

2.Holders of the Hong Kong and Macau Residents’ Pass (non-Chinese nationals).

3.Holders of group visas or those eligible for group visa exemptions.

4.Transit passengers who stay within the restricted area of the port for less than 24 hours.

5.Passengers entering or exiting on a cruise ship and returning with the same ship.

6.Foreign nationals using fast-track entry channels.

7.Foreign staff members of transport companies operating entry and exit vehicles.

For further details, contact the 12367 service hotline for assistance.
