Suzhou will soon launch the themed seasonal campaign "Visit Suzhou for a Delicious Fall," rolling out various activities for residents and tourists to enjoy a memorable season.

Osmanthus-scented Lifestyle Experience Season

Osmanthus flowers will be in full bloom next month. A themed event has already kicked off, introducing the osmanthus map of Suzhou and a creative cuisine contest, among other activities.

Osmanthus is not only for viewing but also for tasting. Dishes such as gorgon fruit syrup with osmanthus , osmanthus cake, and osmanthus sweet porridge bring the aroma to the table. Tea houses, caf e s, and local breweries are offering osmanthus specials, while time-honored brands have introduced osmanthus mooncakes. From September 27 to mid-to-late October, the Suzhou Osmanthus Market will be held at Guihua Park 桂花公園 , with a dedicated " Osmanthus Bus Route" available for visitors.

Crab Promotion Season

The annual Yangcheng Lake hairy crab harvest will start from September 26. Restaurants and agritainment homestays across the city will offer diverse dishes made with crabs.

Crab-themed cultural and creative products are also available, such as the yellow and green crab stuffed toys of the Suzhou Museum.

Sports and Fitness Season

The No. 1 Road Around Taihu Lake is perfect for a road trip as it strings together multiple attractions around the lake. Around the Mid-Autumn Festival (October 6), Panmen Gate 盤門景區(qū), Suzhou Amusement Land 蘇州樂園森林世界, and many other spots in the city will hold lantern festivals. Zhouzhuang Ancient Town 周莊古鎮(zhèn)風景區(qū) will host night tours, blending performances with ancient-town nightscape.
