On March 2, the Wuxi Municipal People's Government held a press conference to introduce the Ten Measures to Facilitate the Entry and Stay of Foreign Nationals in Wuxi (hereinafter referred to as the Ten Measures).

According to the press conference, Wuxi's permanent foreign population was about 8,000 in 2023, ranking third in Jiangsu province and far below the standard of 5 percent foreign population in international cities.
The Ten Measures are designed to promote the internationalization of Wuxi and increase its attractiveness to overseas people of all levels.
Entry & Exit
Strive for the 144-hour transit visa-free policy, further strengthen the application and promotion of permanent residence cards for foreigners in relevant fields, and accelerate the facilitation of security and border clearance;
Work Process
Fully implement policies to improve the convenience of working in China for foreigners, realize "one-window acceptance" and "one-window handling", and implement "green channel" and "tolerance acceptance" services for "top-notch and urgently-needed" foreign talents.
In addition, measures will be introduced to facilitate the needs of foreigners in areas such as payment, business,
residence and travel, consumption, education and medical care.
