Xiaoshan District has abundant medical resources. In 2022, the "deepening the reform of county-level medical community and promoting the development of high-level county-level hospitals" was awarded with the provincial government's supervision incentive. The innovative exploration of "healthy brain + chronic disease without leaving the village" has been reported by People's Daily, CCTV, Xinhua News Agency and others, and successfully selected as an innovative practice case of Healthy China. Among the district-level hospitals in Xiaoshan, there is one Grade III Class A hospital of traditional Chinese medicine, two Grade III Class B comprehensive hospitals. The newly-introduced Women’s Hospital-School of Medicine-Zhejiang University (Qianjiang), and the Second Affiliated Hospital-School of Medicine-Zhejiang University (Boao) have been officially put into use. In the future, Xiaoshan will usher in another upgrade of medical resources. Efforts are being made to accelerate the implementation of the headquarters project of the Second Affiliated Hospital-School of Medicine-Zhejiang University and the second phase project of Women’s Hospital-School of Medicine-Zhejiang University (Qianjiang). In the future, Xiaoshan will further implement the infrastructure construction of district-level hospitals, promote the construction of smart hospitals in an all-round way, and continue to promote the development of Healthy Xiaoshan.
