As we approach New Year's Eve, Beijing is gearing up to host nearly 30 simultaneous countdown events on December 31. With so many options to choose from, where will you ring in the New Year?

Shougang Park

On the evening of December 31, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region will host its first joint public countdown event, with the main venue set in Shougang Park. That night, the park will present all its night scenes.
At Shougang Park, Chang'an Mills will hold a series of New Year's Eve events from December 31 to January 1, the No. 1 Blast Furnace (SoReal Science Fiction Paradise) will open the Four Seasons' Fun Starport Market (肆季狂歡星港市集) from December 28 to January 1, and Shangri-La Shougang Park, Beijing will hold a New Year's Eve party.

Beijing Wtown

At 23:57 on December 31, 400 drones will form a clock pattern above Riyuedao Square in Beijing Wtown. Visitors can join in the countdown to midnight with these drones. On the morning of January 1, 2025, visitors can choose to watch the New Year Opening Ceremony at the square outside the Tourist Service Center, or go to the Yuantong Tower to get the auspicious New Year lucky bags containing snacks.
On December 31, the scenic area will grant free entry to visitors for that day, allowing visitors to enter by registering with their identity documents.

Badaling Great Wall

From 18:00 on December 31, 2024 to 8:00 on January 1, 2025, the Badaling Great Wall scenic area will launch such events as concerts, night tours of the Great Wall, traditional artistic performances of Beijing, skiing experiences, and more.

Commercial Districts

Multiple commercial districts in Chaoyang will launch consumption campaigns themed on the New Year's Eve, including the "Let's Smile" party at Taikoo Li Sanlitun, a large public art project titled "You're Always on My Mind" and a photo exhibition titled "China Wildlife Image and Video Competition - Spirit of Mountain and Sea" at the China World Mall, the "Warm Winter Starry Night - Dreamed Special Season" themed event at Chaoyang Joy City , the 17th Solana Light Festival, the "Homage to Legends" New Year's Eve Concert at the National Speed Skating Oval on December 31, and the New Year's Eve party at the 798-751 Park in Chaoyang.
In addition, on the evening of December 31, the MixC (a mall) in Tongzhou will host a New Year's Eve concert and a countdown event; Haidian Joy City  will hold the "Beijing Living Room" New Year's Eve Concert; the Tangu commercial district in Mentougou will launch the "Jazz New Year Music Festival". Various forms of New Year's Eve events will also kick off in Fengtai, Tongzhou, Shunyi, Changping, Pinggu and many other districts.

Shijingshan Amusement Park

Shijingshan Amusement Park launched its Ice and Snow Music New Year Season on December 20, which will run until January 1, featuring the countdown to the New Year, new ice and snow experiences, and exciting performances.

Culture Center of Shijingshan District
The Culture Center of Shijingshan District will launch a New Year-themed amusement fair from December 31 to January 5, featuring quality performances, cultural exhibitions and other activities. Accommodation and dining vouchers will be issued for key business districts such as Xirondo and Jingxi Joy City, as well as brand hotels like Mercure Wanshang Beijing and Jingyan Hotel.
