The scenery of Fuyang is beautiful, with abundant natural resources and a rich history of culinary culture. The Fuchun River runs through the entire area of Fuyang, offering a variety of fresh water fishes. It is said that “fresh water fish belongs to Huangxian in Spring and Summer” , “ Fuchun River is abundant in pogies” and “nothing is more delicious than Ge Creek snails”. The great literati Yu Dafu even praised the delicious shad fish with his poem. The fertile land on both banks of the river is rich in vegetation, unique delicacies, including the renowned “Yongchang Stinky Tofu” and the “Dongwu Mountain Tofu Skin. In recent years, Fuyang has introduced a series of distinctive local dishes such as “Longmen Eight Bowls of Beef”,  “Dongziguan Fresh Water Fish”, “Huyuan Creek Fish”, “Shangguan Bamboo Shoot Feast” and “Yongchang Stinky Flavor with Twelve Dishes”, forming a unique culinary system known as “one town, one specialty” that has become a highlight of Fuchun cuisine. Festivals like the Flower Expo and Dongziguan Fresh Water Fish Expo have driven the development of delicacy and tourism, promoting industrial upgrading and creating popular tourist attractions in Fuyang.
