Starting from December 1, 2024, work permits and social security cards for foreigners will be integrated.
This means that work permit information for foreign nationals will be included in their social security cards, and physical work permits will no longer be issued from December 1, 2024.
In the future, foreign nationals can also use the social security card app to register and complete identity verification using their name, work permit number, or social security number, and then receive an electronic social security card that includes their work permit information. If a foreigner has already obtained a physical social security card, the electronic social security card will automatically provide standard services in sync.
