National 4A level tourist attraction, provincial-level scenic spot, and one of the top 20 scenic spots in Xiamen. The scenic area has a long history, outstanding people, and beautiful natural landscapes. It is a tourist attraction that integrates ecological sightseeing, folk customs, religious pilgrimage, and leisure and amusement. The scenic area is located in the northeast corner of Wuxian Town, Tong'an District, 12 kilometers away from Tong'an City and 45 kilometers away from Xiamen City. The scenic area covers 4.5 square kilometers. The scenic area has beautiful natural landscapes, a long history, and numerous myths and legends. It is an ecological leisure tourism destination that integrates ecological sightseeing, leisure vacation, folk customs gathering, religious worship, and academic expansion.
In Tong'an, Yincheng, it is said that 'North Mountain came first, followed by Tong'an'. The story of Wang Shenzhi, the King of Kaimin in the Five Dynasties, entering Fujian originated here and is known as the "Holy Land of Kaimin". In order to promote the spirit of opening up Fujian by the King of Min, the scenic area has specially established the King of Min Cultural Park for future generations to commemorate the ancestors and showcase the history of the "Min Kingdom" that originated here a thousand years ago. The "Twelve Longtan Waterfall", one of the "Twenty Scenic Spots in Xiamen", is the most distinctive. The waterfall is nearly 600 meters long with a drop of about 170 meters. It starts from the high point of Cangshan Cuiluan and falls layer by layer along the mountain, rushing down. Due to the long-term erosion of the water flow, the mountain naturally forms a canyon with a total length of about 7.6 kilometers. Along the way, twelve green pools of different sizes, shapes, and clear waters emerge. The water flows continuously throughout the year, never drying up for thousands of years, and is clear and transparent.
