The pomegranate-shaped vessel originated during the Ming Dynasty's Xuande imperial kiln, with emulation beginning in the Yongzheng period and becoming a quintessential form of the Qing Dynasty's imperial kiln, especially noted for its kiln variations. The pomegranate symbolizes the flourishing continuation of family lineage, embodying the wish for abundant offspring and generations, as expressed in the saying "a hundred seeds within the pomegranate," conveying familial happiness and fulfillment. The ornamental motif, "lion and ball pattern," reflects traditional Chinese auspiciousness. Dominated by the color "Chinese red," the artwork exudes a festive and dignified ambiance, signifying universal prosperity and harmony and fostering peace across the globe.
