Recently, the Fun Life Park (理想花地·趣活公園) has opened to the public in Guangzhou's Liwan District, providing convenient recreational and sports amenities for residents. The park was transformed from the former site of the Yuehe Flower and Bird Market (越和花鳥魚藝大世界).

A multi-functional urban oasis
Spanning a total area of 59,000 square meters, the new Fun Life Park is divided into five functional zones: sports courts, a children's playground, a lawn area, a marketplace zone, and a parking lot.The 15,000 ㎡ sports area includes six tennis courts, ten badminton courts, two standard basketball courts, and four soccer fields (two for seven-a-side and two for five-a-side matches). The facilities meet city-level competition standards, accommodating up to 300–400 spectators per game.

The 7,000 ㎡ children's playground is a fairytale-themed paradise equipped with 24 recreational facilities, such as rainbow slides and a fairy tale castle, offering endless fun for kids.
The 10,000 ㎡ lawn is open to the public free of charge. It is one of the largest urban open lawns in Guangzhou, after Ersha Island and the riverside park on Linjiang Boulevard. The space will host diverse activities, including art exhibitions, music festivals, artist performances, outdoor promotions, photography, and camping. The lawn also features a 1,600 ㎡ activity area for rest and relaxation, complemented by themed marketplaces offering a unique shopping and dining experience. Around the lawn, a 400-meter low-carbon running track has been built for jogging enthusiasts.

The park's smart parking lot with 325 spaces provides visitors with convenient access to the park, and is adjacent to the metro. Situated on the east side of Huadi Boulevard in Liwan District, the park is conveniently located near Exits A and B of Huadiwan Station on Metro Line 1. The main entrance is right next to the metro station.
Farewell to the old market & where to shop for flowers now
The Yuehe Flower and Bird Market closed in recent years, with all demolition work completed in October 2024. This iconic market, cherished by the neighbourhood for nearly two decades, has officially bid farewell.
