In hydrogen energy, Xiamen has attracted companies with core technologies and national influence across the entire value chain, from production and storage to transportation, refueling, and application. The city has also made early investments in the new energy storage industry, developing a relatively complete industrial chain. Key players in this sector include Hithium, Ampace, CEAB, Amoy Island Hydrogen Technology, CM Energy, and Xiamen Tungsten Hydrogen Energy.

• Hydrogen Energy: Focusing on key links in the industrial chain, including: 
• Upstream: Water electrolysis hydrogen production materials, equipment, and core components; 
• Midstream: Hydrogen storage materials, equipment, and core components; 
• Downstream: Hydrogen fuel cells and related vehicle and vessel equipment; 
• Infrastructure: Development of hydrogen refueling stations.
• Energy Storage 
• Systems: Expanding and strengthening energy storage systems, including battery manufacturing, battery management systems (BMS), and power conversion systems (PCS); Solutions: Developing energy storage solutions focused on generation, grid-side, and user-side applications, supporting enterprises in developing full life-cycle solutions with high safety, high energy density, high consistency, and long cycle life; Diversification: Promoting the development of alternative energy storage technologies such as thermal energy storage, compressed air energy storage, and flywheel energy storage.
